Alexia without agraphia
In alexia without agraphia the patient cannot read (alexia) but is able to write. Understanding spoken language and conversation are intact.
This is usually due to a lesion destroying the left visual cortex, as well as the connections to the right visual cortex in the corpus callosum. It is typically caused by an occlusion of a branch of the PCA
