Phineas Gage
Phineas Gage was a railroad worker who was unfortunate enough to get an iron pole driven though his head. It went right through his frontal lobe and he survived. Following the incident his personality changed dramatically. His case was an important contribution to our understanding of the function of the frontal lobe.
